DIO alive – eine Hommage an Ronnie James Dio und seine legendären Jahre bei Rainbow und Black Sabbath.

2023 gegründet, hat sich die Band um den niederländischen Ausnahmesänger John “Jaycee” Cuijpers zum Ziel gesetzt, das Werk des 2010 verstorbenen Musikers aus seinen Schaffensphasen bei Rainbow und Black Sabbath ebenso wie den Solo-Alben zu neuem Leben zu erwecken. "Man on the Silver Mountain", "Holy Diver", "Heaven and Hell", "Stargazer" - die musikalische Zeitreise ist vielfältig und umfasst radiotaugliche Hits ebenso wie dramatische Epen und wunderschöne Balladen.

"Ronnie James Dio war zweifellos einer der bedeutendsten Sänger des Hardrock und Heavy Metal", sagt John Cuijpers. "Unser Anliegen ist es, seine zeitlose Musik und seine Leidenschaft mit dem Publikum zu teilen." Stimmlich beeindruckend nah am Original, verkörpert Cuijpers sein Idol auf der Bühne wie kaum ein anderer. An seiner Seite steht Gitarrenvirtuose Frank Pané, der bereits mit Ian Paice, Bobby Kimball und Dave Bickler die Bühne teilte.
